How To Make A Ziplock Omelet

This was sent to me by a friend and it seems almost too simple to be true or good!!  Trust me, it is both.  I would just add a little bit of butter with the eggs.  It is really amazing what we women can concoct to help us along in our daily busy lives!  I urge you to give this one a try and promise it will be a keeper!!                                                                                                                               (This works great !!! Good for when all your family is together. The best part is that no one has to wait for their special omelet !!!)

Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.
Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.
Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.
Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake. Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.

Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes [we did 15 minutes]. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water.
Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Be prepared for everyone to be amazed.
Nice to serve with fresh fruit and coffee cake; everyone gets involved in the process and a great

Now it doesn't get much simpler than that!  And what fun to put what you want into a plastic bag and see a delicious homemade omelet roll out!!

You know the rest ---- be sweet!!!

I have so many goodies to share with you over the holidays I can barely sleep at night, wondering which to do next.  Do you like desserts, gift presentation, gifts in a jar?  Please let me know as this is your blog as much as mine.  We are in this together and no sense in writing something no one is interested in.  I have some gift tags that can be downloaded, printed and cut out, etc.  What do you say?  Anyone who would like to share an idea or recipe would be welcome to write a post on "Angels".  Love you all!!        Once more, be sweet and SMILE.

What a clever idea ... I don't do eggs but ... this idea is great for those who enjoy omelets.

To answer your last question ... I'd love to see something on gifts in a jar. I'm working hard on filling my gift boxes with handmade goodies so ... I'd love to see your ideas!

I hope you're enjoying the season!
